APMBuild is a personal operation. Paweł Okurowski is involved in every project from the first conversation to the final handover.
I started in construction in Poland, where the craft was taken seriously and attention to detail was expected — not optional. I learned from experienced tradespeople who understood that a building's long-term performance depends entirely on the quality of decisions made during construction.
I worked in Germany, where precision engineering meets construction — an environment that shaped my approach to airtightness, thermal bridge elimination and the kind of detailing that actually makes the difference between a good passive house and a great one.
Mallorca taught me a different kind of rigour: luxury residential work in a climate where thermal comfort, material quality and client expectations left no room for compromise.

From 2013 I worked as an independent contractor across the UK — taking on increasingly complex residential refurbishment and construction projects, building deep expertise in building physics, fabric performance and energy-efficient detailing along the way. Over those years a pattern became clear: clients were being let down not by lack of ambition, but by builders who didn't understand the standard, consultants who didn't build, and supply chains that didn't deliver performance. The gap between what low-energy construction could achieve and what was actually being delivered was significant — and avoidable.

I established APMBuild Ltd in 2024 to close that gap properly. Not as a volume contractor, but as a quality-first specialist — combining PHI-accredited Passive House training, a direct European materials supply chain, and personal site oversight under one roof.
"I am not running a faceless building company. I oversee every project personally. When you call APMBuild, you speak to me."
Completed PHI-accredited Level 2 Master Passive House construction training at Akademia Zdrowego Budownictwa (AZB), a Passive House Institute-accredited training body, Wrocław, Poland (2023). Working knowledge of PHPP methodology, airtightness detailing, thermal bridge principles, and EnerPHit retrofit strategy.
From high-precision German construction to luxury Mediterranean residential. A breadth of experience that most UK contractors simply don't have.
Established relationships with CE/UKCA certified European manufacturers. Materials typically 20–30% below UK market pricing, with 5–10 day typical delivery.
Project oversight, PHPP pre-assessments, client contact, European supply chain. Single point of accountability from first call to final handover.
Composite decking, stainless cable balustrades, structural retaining works and lighting integration. Private residence, Herefordshire.
Multi-level deck, slate-clad piers and stainless balustrade detailing. Built to outlast typical timber installations through material specification.
Every APMBuild project starts with a PHPP pre-assessment — the energy modelling tool developed by the Passive House Institute. Here is how it works, from first data to certified result.
EnerPHit targets shown. Classic Passivhaus new build: heating demand ≤15 kWh/m².a, airtightness n₅₀ ≤0.6 ACH. Values based on PHI criteria Version 10c.
Low-energy building performance depends on doing every detail correctly. We don't cut corners on airtightness, thermal bridges or specification.
You get a clear cost breakdown before any work starts. European materials pricing is passed on honestly — we don't inflate margins on supply.
We give realistic programmes, not optimistic ones. If something changes, you hear it from Paweł directly, not from a project manager who wasn't there.
We work on a small number of projects at a time. Quality requires attention, and attention requires limits. We'd rather do fewer projects properly.
Call Paweł directly or send an enquiry. Every project starts with a free conversation — no sales pitch, just an honest discussion about what's possible.
