The Transformation

Full ground-floor remodel and rear extension delivering an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge with feature onyx slab walls, integrated LED ribbons, quartz island, and a re-rendered facade with bi-fold doors. The client gained a contemporary, light-filled family space with a luxury hotel-grade finish — split-stone feature wall, slatted timber acoustic panels, and hand-detailed plasterwork.

Multi-element estate upgrade: curved sandstone front steps with inset LED treads, a raised steel-and-composite viewing terrace with stainless cable balustrade, an indoor split-stone-wall kitchen with bespoke joinery, and a backlit blue-LED water-feature wall set into the patio. The client received a connected garden-to-house experience with statement architectural features at every transition.

New detached building housing a twin garage on the ground floor and a full first-floor suite — office, kitchenette and bathroom. Strip-Footing Foundations — Near Ledbury, Herefordshire

Foundation works using a prefabricated permanent (lost) strip-footing formwork system — pre-reinforced form units, sourced direct from the EU, set out on a precision-engineered perimeter and poured in a single day, with no formwork to strip and no demolition waste. Foundation phase delivered to mm tolerance. Project subsequently paused at client request; superstructure not constructed by APMBuild.

Where the work is, how to see it, and what stands behind it.

Where are APMBuild's completed projects?

All completed projects shown here are in Herefordshire and on its borders — Gorsley, Dormington, Putley, Foy, Lea and Hole in the Wall around Ross-on-Wye and Hereford, the Saxon Gate refurbishment in Hereford itself, ICF foundation work delivered near Ledbury, and a rendered garden gym building in Newent on the Gloucestershire side.

Can I visit a completed project before hiring you?

Often, yes. Several past clients are happy to show their finished work by arrangement, and for larger enquiries we recommend it — photographs flatter everyone; site visits don't. Ask when you get in touch and we'll see what's practical near you.

Why are there no completed Passive House or EnerPHit projects here?

Because we haven't completed one yet, and we won't dress the portfolio up to suggest otherwise. EnerPHit-route deep retrofit and Passive House new build are services in development, with first projects being scoped — built on PHI-accredited training, PHPP pre-assessment and a European component supply chain that are all in place today.

What warranty covers the work shown here?

Every APMBuild project carries a 24-month workmanship warranty, with manufacturer warranties passing through to the client — up to 50 years on roofing systems, up to 10 years on windows and doors, and up to 5 years on insulation systems. Handover includes full documentation.

Do you photograph and document every project like this?

Yes. Photographic site records are part of how we build — including the stages that get covered up, not just the finished rooms. Clients follow the whole record live through our Project Room portal during the build.
