How does APMBuild collaborate with architects?
APMBuild works alongside architects as a Passive House-trained main contractor, providing buildability input, PHPP pre-assessment, material specification and detailed delivery. Paweł Okurowski's PHPP training and 20+ years of European construction experience means we engage early on detailing rather than just executing drawings.
Can you do PM-only or tender-only engagement?
Yes. APMBuild offers project management-only, construction management, tender packages or full design-build A–Z engagement depending on what the architect or client needs.
Do you provide PHPP modelling for our designs?
Yes. APMBuild carries out PHPP pre-assessments directly, covering U-value calculations, thermal bridge analysis, MVHR sizing and overheating risk checks. Full certified PHPP models are delivered through our PHI-accredited modelling partner. Either can be commissioned standalone or bundled into delivery.
Can architects open a trade account for materials?
Yes. Architects, developers and specifiers can open a trade account with APMBuild to access CE/UKCA-compliant European insulation, windows, MVHR units, airtightness products and doors. Stock items are typically delivered UK-wide within 5–10 days; made-to-order windows and doors typically take 4–8 weeks.
What documentation do you provide?
APMBuild delivers full technical documentation: PHPP reports, U-value calculations, product datasheets (CE/UKCA), airtightness test results, MVHR commissioning records, the contractor records a Retrofit Coordinator needs where PAS 2035 applies, and as-built drawings. All documentation is handed over digitally on project completion.
Do you work on multi-unit developer schemes?
We are open to them, and we will be straight about where we stand: APMBuild has not yet delivered a multi-unit scheme, so these are discussed case by case rather than on a track record. Schemes from three units upward, where energy performance is central to the value proposition, with joint venture as one possible route.
