What is the APMBuild Project Room?
The APMBuild Project Room is a private client portal where every client follows their construction or retrofit project in one place: a live stage tracker, shared documents, a quotes and payment schedule, before/after and progress photos, a direct message thread with APMBuild, decisions to sign off, and certified energy figures from a PHI-accredited partner. It works in any web browser and is free for APMBuild clients.
Do other builders offer a client portal?
Very few do. Most contractors leave homeowners chasing emails and phone calls. APMBuild gives every client a secure, single view of their project — a level of transparency that is rare in UK residential construction and retrofit.
Do I need to install an app?
No. The Project Room works in any web browser on phone, tablet or computer. On a phone you can optionally add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Is it secure, and do I need a password?
There are no passwords. You sign in with a one-time secure link sent to your email. Your documents and photos are held in private storage that only you and APMBuild can access.
What can I see in the Project Room?
Your project stage, shared documents such as drawings, EPCs and reports, before/after and progress photos, a direct conversation with APMBuild, and guidance hand-picked for your project.
Can I add my own architect or engineer?
Yes. You can invite your own architect, engineer or adviser to your Project Room and choose what they can see. APMBuild approves each person before they get access, so you stay in control of your project.
How do the energy figures work?
Certified PHPP and energy modelling is prepared by APMBuild's accredited technical partner and published to your Project Room at the right stage, clearly dated and labelled.
Is there a cost for clients?
No — the Project Room is included for APMBuild clients.
