EnerPHit Deep Retrofit

Transform your existing home toward passive house performance. EnerPHit is the Passive House Institute's retrofit standard — applying the same building physics to your existing structure. Up to 90% heating energy reduction is achievable under PHI criteria.

We support every stage: PHPP-informed pre-assessment, fabric specification, European materials supply, airtightness works, MVHR installation coordination, and blower door testing. First EnerPHit projects now being scoped — enquire to discuss your property.

Paweł works alongside PHI-certified designers and certifiers where full EnerPHit building certification is required.

Service 02

Passive House New Build

New builds designed and constructed to Passive House principles. Whether you prefer traditional masonry or modular timber frame, we work toward EPC A performance with PHPP-informed pre-assessment and a European materials package.

For private clients without an architect, we can introduce you to a trusted UK architect partner — a referral model, not an in-house architect. For architect-led schemes, we work alongside your existing design team rather than replacing it. Typical build programme: 8–12 months.

Service 03

Design, Build & Furnish

The complete home journey for private clients without an architect already engaged. APMBuild coordinates an end-to-end package — UK architect partner for planning and Building Regs drawings, our delivery on site, and interior design coordination through our European supply network. Bespoke furniture sourced through our trusted European workshop network for your rooms and your taste.

One contract, one point of contact, one standard. Interior design coordination and bespoke furniture supply is also available today as a standalone UK-wide service.

Service 04 · UK-wide

Project Management & Site Coordination

Remote project management plus scheduled site visits for energy-efficient builds, UK-wide. Passive House-trained oversight of airtightness strategy, thermal bridge detailing, MVHR commissioning and overall quality control — on a day-rate or fixed-fee basis.

Suitable for: architects who don't manage builds, homeowners who lack time, main contractors who want PH-aware oversight, self-builders needing technical backup.

Service 05 · UK-wide

On-Site Practical Mentoring for Build Teams

Hands-on, builder-to-builder knowledge transfer on your site — airtightness sequencing, EWI installation, MVHR principles, thermal bridge mitigation and high-performance window fitting, demonstrated by Paweł directly with your team. Not classroom training, not formal certification: 20+ years of European construction experience, delivered on site, UK-wide.

Typical engagement: 1–3 days on-site per critical build phase, day-rate basis.

What APMBuild delivers, from single trades to full design-build.

What services does APMBuild offer?

APMBuild Ltd's delivered services are house extensions, renovations and refurbishments, European building materials supply, project management and site coordination, on-site practical mentoring, and PHPP pre-assessment. EnerPHit-route deep retrofits, Passive House new builds and the full A–Z design-build-furnish service are in development, with first projects now being scoped. We build regionally from our Hereford HQ; materials supply, project management, mentoring and PHPP pre-assessment are available UK-wide.

Do you handle the design as well as the build?

APMBuild carries out PHPP pre-assessment and energy-efficient design coordination directly; full certified PHPP modelling is delivered through our PHI-accredited partner. Architectural drawings (planning and Building Regs) are delivered in one of two ways: through our trusted UK architect partner for private clients arriving without an architect, or in collaboration with the client's existing architect on architect-led schemes. The A–Z design-build route is the most cost-efficient for clients without an architect already engaged.

What is the design-build A–Z service?

APMBuild's design-build A–Z service covers everything from initial feasibility and PHPP modelling, through architectural design, planning, Building Control, construction, MVHR and airtightness commissioning, interior fit-out and bespoke furniture. Pricing typically runs £2,800–£3,800 per m².

Do you offer one-off subcontracted work?

APMBuild is primarily a main contractor delivering full projects, not a subcontracted trades firm. Where we do supply specialist input — MVHR, airtightness detailing, PHPP modelling or material supply only — this is arranged as a defined scope agreement rather than ad-hoc labour.

How do you ensure quality across the project?

Quality is built in through Passive House-grade specification, airtightness testing, MVHR commissioning, photographic site records and a fixed core team supervised by Paweł Okurowski. Every APMBuild project is backed by a 24-month workmanship warranty and full handover documentation.
