Quality refurbishments and extensions across Herefordshire, West Midlands and Wales. European materials, building-physics-aware detailing, personal oversight from Paweł Okurowski — first call to final handover.
For the next 12 months, this is where most APMBuild clients will start: a kitchen, a bathroom, a full house refurb, an extension. Not full Passive House new-builds — those are still being scoped — but quality residential work, delivered with European materials and the kind of detailing that lasts.
Position this work as "better than the UK refurb average". The differentiators are real: building physics awareness, direct EU material sourcing, single point of contact, 20+ years of European construction experience.
PHI-accredited Level 2 Passive House construction training (AZB, 2023). We think about airtightness and thermal bridges by default — not as an afterthought.
Better products, typically 20–30% below UK pricing. From insulation and windows through to tiles, kitchens and bespoke furniture. See full range →
Paweł Okurowski, from first call to final handover. No call-centre, no project manager you've never met.
Costed proposals up front. Programme dates agreed before work starts. No surprises mid-project.
Poland, Germany, Spain (Mallorca), UK. The detailing standards expected on the Continent, applied to British residential work.
Whether you're updating one room or rebuilding most of the house, we work across the full scope of UK residential construction. Energy improvement work is woven through everything — because it's our training and our European supply chain doing the heavy lifting.
Full kitchen design and installation, with European cabinetry, worktops and appliances. Supply-only also available.
Full bathroom refurbishments with European tiles, fittings, taps and sanitaryware. Wet rooms and family bathrooms.
Whole-house renovation programmes. Phased works or vacant-property programmes. Single coordinated package.
Rear, side and wrap-around extensions. Permitted-development scope and full planning routes.
Larger extensions delivering significant additional floor area. Coordination with our UK architect partnership for planning and Building Regs drawings.
Adding usable floor area without changing the building footprint. Dormers, hip-to-gable, integral garage conversions.
Part L upgrade works, insulation (EWI, IWI, loft), window replacement, door replacement, airtightness improvements.
Decking, balustrades, retaining walls, garden lighting, hard landscaping. As delivered in Herefordshire 2024.
If you have your own team, we can supply the materials package only. See the materials page →

Build-and-install work is regional. We work in the counties and areas we can comfortably reach from Hereford and oversee personally — without quality dropping because of distance.
Materials supply runs UK-wide regardless of region — see the materials page.

What's included when APMBuild delivers a full extension or whole-house renovation.
An APMBuild full extension or renovation typically covers design, structural calculations, planning, Building Control submissions, demolition, foundations, structure, fabric (insulation, airtightness, glazing), MVHR, M&E, finishes, kitchens, bathrooms and bespoke joinery — delivered as a single A–Z contract from our Hereford base.
Yes. APMBuild manages planning applications, Building Regulations approval, Party Wall notices and PAS 2035 documentation where relevant. This is included by default in our design-build A–Z service across the West Midlands and Wales.
A typical single-storey rear extension with APMBuild runs 12–20 weeks on site once planning and Building Control are approved. Two-storey extensions or wraparound projects run 16–28 weeks. Energy-efficient detailing adds little to programme but a great deal to performance.
Yes — every APMBuild extension is built to a high fabric standard by default, with triple glazing, continuous insulation, airtightness detailing and MVHR available as standard upgrades. This pairs an extension with whole-house energy improvement rather than worsening the existing performance.
APMBuild provides a 24-month workmanship warranty on all extensions and renovations, alongside manufacturer warranties on installed products (windows, MVHR, boilers, kitchens). Full handover documentation including airtightness and commissioning data is supplied on completion.
